Firstly combine the flour, the baking soda and the sugar in another bowl mix the cocoa powder and the red food colouring and whisk till all the mass has the same colour and texture.
Now pour the combined flour, soda and sugar with the melted butter and beat it manually or with an electric mixer all until everything is combined.
Next add the eggs, the buttermilk, the vanilla extract and then the red cocoa powder. Add as much red cocoa powder till the mass is the right amount red, continue beating the mass.
Then get the square pans and add the oil and some flour and spread it evenly so the cakes doesn’t stick to the pans, pour the cake butter in the pans and pre-heat your oven to 350 and bake the cakes for 30 minutes and go sticking the toothpick so if it comes clean it is ready.
After that cut the cakes in half with the cake leveller and coat each cake with a thick layer of frosting using a spatula and stack them up, then cover the sides with more frosting.
Now it’s decorating time! Apply Crisco over your working space and your hands so the fondant doesn’t stick. Knead the fondant till it’s soft.
For this cake you’ll need red and brown colored fondant so start mixing the fondant and the gel food coloring until it has the right color, roll out the fondant until it’s about the size of the cake leaving a few inches on all sides rap it back up on the roller cover the cake with the fondant.
Carefully flatten the sides and cut off the excess with a pizza cutter. Cut the white fondant edges and using dabs of water stick it on the top sides of the cake then top it off with a big white square of fondant.
Finally cut various size squares and stick them on the top, you may like to have a picture of a Minecraft cake. to know where to stick them and finish it off with a border of icing.

These sounds delicious. My parents have a lavender farm about a half mile from their house so they bring me some buds. I am going to try this recipe.
Also glad to see someone else had to buy a new washer. Mine broke yesterday and I had to get a new one. What an experience looking at all the models. Bought a front loader. Hope I like it. I also have mounds of laundry and it is going to get worse because they will not deliver until Friday. Good luck with yours. Love your site.

I made your rhubarb bread doing the oats in my mini food processor. I’d love to try that with a new Wonder Mill! 🙂 The recipe was awesome, so much better than any other rhubarb bread I’ve made in the past. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this recipie, I made this tonight, and it was amazing!! I am am going to freeze the leftover miso mixture in an ice cube tray for easy measurement in the future. For soft boiled eggs place eggs in 1″ boiling water, cover and cook for 6 minutes exactly, and they come out perfectly. Thanks again!

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
