Would you like to blow a birthday party up with an amazing cake? Well, here is a recipe about how to make a Minecraft TNT cake by Cakes StepByStep.
Firstly get your cake and with a butter knife put the frosting all around the sides of the cake. Try to make it the same thickness around the cake.
Secondly, with a rolling pin flatten the red fondant, place the fondant on top of the cake and with your hands and a cake flattener press the sides to it is all smooth. Cut the excess with a pizza cutter.
Then get the ruler and an X-Acto Knife and make 3 little marks on each side of the cake dividing each side of the cake in 5.
Next, with a ruler make 3 lines on each side using the little mark you did in step 3 and on the top make it so there is a 4×4 grid with the lines made by the ruler.
Now with the cake flattener make the edges less round. Mix the red and brown gel food coloring to make a dark red and with the brush paint each rectangle.
Next, with the black gel food coloring paint the corners and in between each rectangle. Cut 16 light grey fondant squares with the X-Acto knife.
Then stick a square on top of each rectangle with water and cut 16 grey fondant smaller squares and stick them with water.
Now roll some black fondant to make a long cylinder and cut it to make shorter cylinders. Stick each end of the cylinders on top of a grey square and do a knot in the middle.
Then do a big strip of white fondant and stick it with water all around the TNT block. Make 8 ‘Ts’ and 4 ‘Ns’ in black fondant.
Finally, stick 2 ‘Ts’ and 1 ‘N’ on each side on the white strip to spell TNT and in black gel food coloring paint the edges of the white strip.

Last year I made my younger son a Skylanders Floating Island Cake for his birthday. It was a huge success, so I had my work cut out to top it this year!
